Adoration in Small Packages

These girls of ours adore their Daddy. Both of them just love Matthew. Yet, he first loved them. What an indescribable blessing and amazing responsibility we have as parents. The love part comes naturally and instinctively.

Laney is his helper. She is always working in the yard, going to Home Depot, fixing things, and at the right hand of her Daddy. Our youngest runs to the door when he gets home and tries to leave with him when he heads out. Landry has now begun calling me "Dada" and she gives the best kisses to him. She is his girl. I love the unique relationships that he has with our girls and I am thankful to be here to witness our life.

My attraction to Matthew must have begun with his heart. I tease and pick on him more than anyone; we have this banter thing, but I love his heart. I know I always will. And there is nothing more attractive than watching a Daddy with his children.

Happy Birthday Matthew Lane!!!!

We celebrated Matthew's 31st Birthday at Tycoon Flats in San Antonio, Tx. We love this place because it's outdoor, kid friendly, and the fried veggies. Everyone else loves because of the beer but you know me.  

I took a cake that I made for everyone to share. So, the icing melted because it was actually warm out! Perfect weather for a happy hour and the cake still tasted yumma!

We sang Happy Birthday at the bar.

 There she went! She sure does have a lot of love and affection in her heart and it truly shows! This little girls looooves to hug!

The Usual Suspects. I always take group pictures but I love having them later. Besides, one day we will look back and think "look how young we were?!" or "remember when M tried to ditch me for the beer festival" and "I forgot how little our babies were"....the list goes on. I will always be the girl with the camera I guess, sorry guys.

  Anyway, happy birthday to my best friend and love of my life. I cannot believe we are already 31!
