Last Soccer Game with Thunder

Laney had her last soccer game of the season. I enjoyed watching this little girl play futbol too! Let me just admit; this might not be her thing. I really don’t care (sort of) because she smiles, laughs, runs all over that field. She may or may not be interested in the ball but she looks quite graceful on the green.
She scored her first goal the game before. She was so proud and happy and so were we! Here is a clip:
Here are some pictures of her running all over that soccer field, playing with her ponytail, etc.

This is such a sweet memory. Laney was mouthing "I love you" to me on the field. She was pointing to her mouth to tell me. She is so sweet!

We had a wonderful first season with Laney playing soccer. The team Thunder had the most patient coaches and some really great parents. I can't wait to

Thunder Pictures

Laney's little soccer team through the YMCA is called Thunder. They are too stinking cute running around and I have lots more pictures of my

The other day at practice they had team pictures. This was past Thursday when the cold front blew in. Okay cold front for San Antonio. The weather had been around 78 all day long and suddenly was in the 50's. Well, of course I had dressed for work appropriate to the weather man's prediction but my children at soccer practice; not so much.

Laney was still happy as she was wearing another Mom's jacket to keep warm.

Can you tell her lips are a little blue? These just make me laugh looking at them again. Laney was so cold and a trooper trying to smile with chattering lips.

Good Enough. I think they are still adorable and can't wait to see what pictures the photographer captured.

Laney's Soccer

Now it is my Laney's turn to play soccer. She had her first game on Saturday, October 1st and we've had a few practices. I really enjoy the team and watching her play a game that I too love.

We are playing through the YMCA and she is adorable running around chasing the white and black checkered ball. The children seem to run like a herd of cattle. I don't mind a bit except that the ball goes out of bounds every few seconds.

Unfortunately, her team is so large they ran out of uni's. We will have to get the matching one at this weeks game. She still looked pretty cute in her soccer gear!

The children were all warming up.

The cutest pony tail amongst a sea of little boys.

Oh my Laney! I love this picture of you.

Soccer Tots

My Laney is playing soccer! I can't believe how excited I get seeing her run around on the field.
Laney loves running and soccer now too. She witnesses me doing these things and, naturally, wants to give them a try.

She calls her practice at Soccer Tots "my soccer not yours."

Running. Pushing her in the BOB is much harder these days than it used to be. But, now, she wants to run beside me! On a nonbusy street in our neighborhood I allow it. I remember when I would see children run in races and along side their parents and though to myself "crazy parents!" Now, I understand that it's the imitating of these "crazy" parents. I will happily allow Laney to do these things to open the door into an active lifestyle.

I love her observant stance and watching the boys. Did I mention she is the only girl on the team?!

Laney and her pink soccer ball! My Dad got this for her at my first baby shower. We have misplaced the matching shinguards but I'm guessing they will turn up.

Her shot on goal.....

Beaming....
The pride she displays after kicking the ball in the goal makes my heart swell!
