It was my first Thanksgiving away from the Berg's and cousins/aunt/uncle/Grandad. And I missed my crazy family and the familiar food. It was an adjustment that I have heard people talk about and never had to deal with until now. But I realize that is part of being married and becoming one. And I learned to cheat at croquet, that kids can ride donkeys, and all sorts of interesting factual knowledge in trivial pursuit. Too bad I am better at reading the questions than answering them. But Lesley and I survived being in seperate places and we will be having Christmas in Abilene! The Crowell's will be there too so that will make the holidays easier for everyone.

On our way back into Round Rock we bought our first Christmas tree together. The lady at the check out asked if it was our first time and told me that she could tell. I knew with in 30 seconds which one it was. This has got to be my favorite time of the year because I always feel like I'm 6 again with Christmas music, ornaments, and mistle toe. Wasn't it the worst kind of heartbreak finding out about Santa?! I think I'm still sad. Anyway, the check out lady left us with the meaningful words "Enjoy it, life goes by so fast". Happy Holidays my friends.
