I have made it halfway and am looking more pregnant every day! Some people still can't tell but they are people who don't know me. Anyone who does, you can tell at least that I've gained and have a pooch! One lady had the nerve to ask if I was sure I was due in September! Anyway, I love feeling Laney move around every night. It's mostly around 10:30 or 11:00 pm and I think she might be a little night owl. I know Matthew and I were as babies. It's still the most odd sensation to feel her kick around but wonderful to know she is busy growing. Matthew felt her for the first time the weekend before last. I was shocked that he could but I love it when he can. Somehow it makes it more real for us. Here is my "what's kickin" shirt at week 20, finally I could wear it!

And I had my 20 week appointment last week and my Mom and Virginia came down for it. I was so glad to have them with me and they were in awe over seeing the baby. She had the hiccups during the sonogram and it makes me giggle when she does! But just knowing that everything is going as it should be gives me such peace. I already adore this little baby we call Laney. I can't wait to cast my eyes on her.

This past weekend we got her bedding. For now, I am trying to pin down the exact yellow for the walls. It is a hard to paint to pick which I totally underestimated. But all the furniture is ordered and should be here in the next month, I hope to have the nursery done a couple of months before Laney is expected to be here b/c you just never know!
And Matthew has started his clerkship. Nine months ago, when we got married, I wouldn't have imagined having to spend the summer months away from Matthew. It appears a lot of our plans have changed and, although life can be wonderfully surprising, it's been a whirlwind with Matthew. I know it could be much worse but I miss him something fierce. Although I will see him every weekend and his mom/my mom/Lindsay will all be staying with me during this time I won't have really have many nights alone. Perhaps it made it harder that this last weekend was perfect. We didn't do much but it's the first time since we have been married that he hasn't had to study or had an overhead cloud looming on something Baylor related. It was the best feeling! I remember it in Dallas but we haven't had it since we left! Matthew and I went on our first picnic, finally! Thank you Sarah for the precious basket from our wedding! We went searching for a KFC all over Austin and finally found a Luby's. Which actually turned out better. But right by the park we were going to in Georgetown was a KFC. Pretty funny for us. Here are pics from our spread.....

Awww! I'm so glad that you got to use your picnic basket!! Listen, from someone who knows...you can get through these next 3 months and your relationship will be stronger in the long run for it. Every time Ryan left, it felt like a piece of me was missing, but when he came home, it's like our love just multiplied. I know it's hard though, so hang in there!! You look FABULOUS by the way! :)
