Baby Moon in Sunny San Diego

What a nice get away Matthew and I had to California! Our baby moon is over and now that we have come and gone I am really starting to realize this baby is on the way. There isn't a whole lot of time left actually!

Cricket and Nick took us to the airport. I don't especially like flying, I think it's the "not being in control" aspect of it. But I read Harry Potter and I've got to finish all the books before July when the 7th one comes out. Plus, I'm thinking about taking the GMAT still in August which is probably a bright idea.

Ohhhhhhh and it's true that babies LOVE to kick and move on airplanes. Laney got under my ribs and starting punching me. He he, I love her little movements but they are starting to hurt. Here are some of the pictures from our trip :):

Leaving Austin for San Diego!

I know, I was "that girl" pregnant in a bikini. Believe me, I should have ordered a bigger size, at least up top! But I bared my 25 1/2 week belly in the sunshine. Laney was moving around, I think she likes the feeling of the sun on her face too.
One of our "nice" seafood dinners one night. The food in Texas is just my favorite. I never like it as well anywhere else.

Um yum though! Our waiter gave it to us for the baby! He said "Good Luck Austin, it's on the house!" The dessert was awesome and huge! And easily our cheapest and my favorite meal below.....I had always wanted to try In N Out Burger and they were great! Hamburgers are my favorite food!

Matthew in front of the golf course at our hotel. We stayed at the Hilton Torrey Pines in La Jolla where the US Open was played a couple of years ago.

The Pacific Ocean! It really was "June Glume" or whatever they call it. Not real sunny but still felt great! It was nice to have a cool breeze and not be too hot for a few days.

The first time we let our feet touch the Pacific Ocean! It was cold but we still got in some. Matthew swam a lot! Below are some pictures of the vegetation we saw in California. I was obsessed, they did have lots of interesting flowers and plants......my fav is at the bottom!

You can't really tell but a picture of us at the end of the San Clemente Pier. I get so scared doing that kind of silly stuff, just thinking the ocean is underneath me and if we fell in.Of course the San Diego Zoo....it was huge. My legs were super sore after all the walking!

The baby polar bear and Momma were playing, it was really funny.

And the baby giraffe and it's Momma.....I think it's hilarious to watch them eat and stick out their tongues! We were being silly taking pics off our balcony and I decided to bite Matthew. We are too crazy to be parents I think but it will be fun to figure it all out. I hope Laney laughs at us!

All in all, it was a necessary and wonderful trip. But we are always ready to get back to Texas. I love to travel and see the world but there is still no place like home.
