The simple things I adore about our 2 1/2 week old:
Laney's high pitch cry when she is hungry. Her growling noises when she is trying to crawl up my chest and get closer to my face. Her feistyness and strength that far surpasses the expectation I had for a 2 week old. Our morning time and waking up together, she seems so alert and happy. When she accidentally smiles. Her quizzical faces that let me know she is thinking on something! The way she smells. Her belly button (she lost the umbilical cord! Yippee!) Her dark hair and fair skin. The way her mouth curves so perfectly ( I prayed for that pink pouty little mouth- it's like her Daddy's!). She is such a good eater (she already weighs 9 lb and 9 oz!!!) And she loves to be playful at night! It cracks me up now because we can sleep in but I hope that her schedule shifts to sleeping more in the dark.
I'm realizing how fast this time already goes by and I must go back to work in about a month. I am torn on this because I miss interaction with adults and feeling the importance of my job. At the same time, I can't imagine a moment away from Laney. I just pray when the time comes that I have the endurance and strength. And that she is not such a night baby!
Some pictures over the past week:
Her first Aggie outfit of quite a few cute ones!! Although I can't say I'm real proud of our football team ( I'm a 2%er!)
Uncle Scott and Aunt Meredith came to visit last Saturday! We were so happy to see them and for them to get to meet Laney!
I know babies love to sleep, so I can't quit taking pictures of her sleeping! I don't want to miss a thing!
Our daily stroll....we try to get out for about 15 minutes every afternoon and just feel the breeze and get a little sun on my face. I cannot wait to RUN again! Words won't express the excitement to hit the pavement here in a couple of weeks!

Dazzled by the swing every time! I tried to catch her with her eyes open, since it seems a rarity! I think they are going to be big and brown (and hope!) like her Momma's and Daddy's.
Laney lost her umbilical cord! Check out the innie/outie button!
Our sweet angel Laney Kate......

DITTO!! It is crazy I see so many changes in her already ;) She is a DOLL!! That last pic I see a little Matthew :)
Okay, her feistiness should not at ALL surprise you! I really don't even know you, and I know you're feisty! I mean, she made it through a 20-mile run with you... and the ER with the dumb doctor, and everything.
She's a doll. It's so sweet to see the pictures. And the one of her sleeping is so precious--I can see why you would want to keep taking pictures! She really does look like Matthew--so sweet. :)
I want to kiss those precious LIPS! They are so kissable!!! Glad y'all are doing so well and that you're soaking it all up!! I knew you would!
