Our baby girl is already a month old. "They" say that time goes by too fast and enjoy every moment of it. Hearing it and experiencing it; wow. I could not have ever imagined how wonderfully hard the role of motherhood is/was. There is nothing better, sweeter, or more challenging or rewarding. It's only the beginning for me. I will enjoy this and treasure it for nothing lasts forever in this simple life. But I catch myself staring at Laney sometimes and trying to memorize every feature of her precious face and tiny hands, her noises and cries, her hiccups and spit ups! I adore this itty being that was once called a "blighted ovum". I can't thank the Lord enough for the gift of Laney and I look forward to the next month and next, years, and what the future holds for this little girl!
According to her doctor visit yesterday she weights 10 lbs 4 oz-75th percentile and is 21.5 cm-50th percentile. She is growing fast! And not having any trouble eating. The doctor said she is getting the cream of the milk, meaning she is a growing girl!
Trying to smile, I love catching these glimpses (though its tough to with the camera!)! I can't wait for it to be more and more regular!
And we met baby Saul yesterday (my friend Stephanie's little boy). He is adorable and was making the moves on Laney! It was so great to see Steph!
Laney still loves her swing but now she watches the butterflies and lights above, it's a lot of fun to see her growing and paying attention to things!

oh my gosh...I'd do anything to be there with y'all instead of stuck up here in this stupid library. I love you and miss you so much.

hey! how are you!?? i hope we can talk soon. little laney is soooo cute! I can't wait to see her. I am coming home for christmas! i will be flying into san antonio on Dec. 23 and will prob. be there until Jan. 18. So almost for a month. So hopefully i will be able to see you!
I was also thinking of running a 5k over the break...and i found one in round rock on new years day...interested??
