Precious Time

Laney's last week has been filled with lots of Momma time, visitors, and growth! Matthew and I have had our hands full and have really nailed this parent thing! Ha, if that were true we'd have Laney asleep by 12:00 am every night. But I have learned a lot more as a parent than I ever did in class and tested moment to moment. I think half the time I feel like a zombie. And even at her absolute worst, I love her more than anything in the world! What a gift from God, we are so thankful for her.

Here are some of Laney's priceless expressions this week:

In awe in her swing still!

Daddy can stop her crying this way! She looks like superman!
Tummy time is not one of her favorite things but her cry is still cute to me!
All different smiles. I love them all! It is my favorite thing when Laney shows me her sparkly eyes!

On Sunday we got to see lots of grandparents! I met my Momma in Lampasas so she could see Laney before I went back to work. She taught me how to use a pacifier! I have had the most trouble and my Momma sure knew how to get her to take it!

Laney didn't take her eyes off of my Momma! We don't have grandparents names picked just yet but I know Laney is just thinking about them!

The Crowell's came in Sunday evening. Richard sure knows how to get Laney to quit crying and to put her to sleep in record time! She is always so good for him!

And Virginia gets to come see Laney this week while I am at Whole Foods! Thank heavens for grandmothers!

And Laney got to meet Dorothy, her great grandmother, too! Laney adored her and just looked up at her sweet face!

And we had some visitors too! Laney finally got to meet Mister Mason Man last week! They were both in awe!

And Laney got to see Casey on his way through Austin last Monday! She was hungry and naughty but we were glad to still get to see Case! Carolyn, Scott, and Tracy came over on Saturday to meet Laney Kate too! Laney loved Care bear!!!

Well, the time has come when I must return to work and leave my precious at home with her grandmother's. At least until she starts day care and I dread leaving her but I think being back in the working world might be good for me. In a perfect world, I could have both and feel 100% about it but it's just not so. This I know, Laney has captured my heart far more than any job ever could. And I will look forward to having her at home waiting for me!
