It's The Most Wonderful Time

I totally agree....the most wonderful time of the year....true that! For all the reasons, Christmas parties, family, friends, fabulous food, most importantly celebrating Baby Jesus's birth, and enjoying this new time with our daughter. I find myself giddy almost ever day listening to Christmas music, burning holiday scented candles, gazing at the twinkling lights, and looking forward to going home for the holidays. Tis the season...

This last Thursday we had our "team" holiday party and had a Christmas dinner from Whole Foods. It was delicious and Laney got to see all of my co-workers again. She really enjoys socializing I'm thinking but when she sees me she sometimes start fussing for her Momma. Still, she does a wonderful job being with other faces and I'm so thankful for that.
We had to run and get in the picture with the timer so just a bit off and "uncentered".

No Laney don't fuss.....
Nancy calming her down and loving on the little punkin....

Friday night we had law school prom in Waco which was basically a Casino Night. I love black jack even if it's with Monopoly money I hate losing, good practice for our next Vegas trip though(Andrea:)??). It is always fun seeing M's friends from school and it's times like those I actually miss Waco. And we got to see Lesley and my Momma! We stayed at a hotel overnight and they watched Laney for us!

Pictures just aren't complete with M and I anymore! That's so sad but I always feel so weird without Laney in them!

Such a fun group! It's times like this I really miss college and the days of youth....but I always miss Laney and talk about her the entire time!
What else......Laney has been busy! Trying rolling over and getting frustrated, tummy time and staring at the tree, looking at herself in the mirror and laughing, loving on her Leo Lion and Petunia Pig. I made sure to introduce her to all her stuffed animals this weekend and she really took to these. Especially the pig :) (I don't know why I name things).

Laney has also had her first ailment; a case of pink eye. I kind of freaked out at first because it was Saturday morning and we thought it might be a clogged tear duct. Then this morning she had it in the left eye and we went to see the pediatrician. Although it is looking better he said to wait for Tuesday on daycare so it looks like I'll be working from home with my little darling tomorrow.
