Twenty Eight Years

Well, this past Monday, February 11th was my 28th Birthday and I really feel ancient. Blessed and ancient. I was born on a Monday actually, all three of us Berg children were. Good timing Momma! And every year since I was 21 there has been a count down...so two more years....then the big 30! But it was a wonderful weekend with my family and baby girl.

To celebrate my parents came into town ( my Dad's bday is the 15th) and we had a fairly busy weekend. Friday night we went to Walburg to the German restaurant my father loves. Then Saturday we had a surprise birthday party for Pammy Sue! I am waiting on Andrea to post those and will have some of Mason and Laney. They were absolutely precious! Mason would just scream for Laney and she would reach for him. So cute...the only time Laney was happy in fact. She screamed for two hours straight Saturday and this was quite odd because Laney really never acts fussy even when she is sick. We had to call it an early night and never figured out her demeanor. Most likely an upset tummy but she has been pretty stubborn lately. She is back to refusing the bottle at day care and will just nurse. Naughty Little. You can tell she was squirming in the pic below.....

And on Sunday we celebrated my birthday. My mother always takes me shopping for the new spring arrivals ( except last year when she was in Hawaii). In my younger years I used to get my swimsuit for the season, but those days have passed. I wonder when I will want to put one on again even! Shopping with my mother is my favorite thing, literally. I am always so happy with the splurges she makes on me and can't wait to take Laney one day. And my father got me a Hoover vacuum. He actually did all the consumer report research and everything. Plus, we just need one that will get us by. I do not like cleaning and when I was single used to have things squeaky clean, now I have to have help.

Come Monday, I woke up and received a birthday card from Laney.....Matthew had her sign her name. ...so cute.And as the day went on I tried to work but started having "issues" with my eyes, contacts, infection, or something (going to eye doctor today). Still, we tried to have dinner at my favorite pizza parlor downtown, Home Slice, but that didn't work out too well for either of us girls. We took it to go......

And Matthew made me a home made cake from! Not out of the box, YUM! It was delicious and notice the 2-8 he made with the candles. So many candles..... Matthew singing to me :).......
