Three Under the Sea with Laney!!!

Happy Birthday my Precious 3 Year Old! I loved your "under the sea" themed party and your friends did too.

I was so worried with a lot of Laney's friends out of town that it would just be us but some of our very best friends made it and we had a blast! Here are some (lots of!) pictures to recap the afternoon. There were over 500 taken  by Morgan Smith, they turned out amazing! It was nice to not have to worry about having my camera in hand.

Setting Up. Please know I had a "Laura freak out" where we (Matthew) were running late and we arrived at the pool to find out the previous party before us was still going on. Needless to say, I had to find a glass of wine. Good grief. Still, Laney had a blast and once I got past my initial panic, I did too. I love having parties and doing this for a living would be the most enjoyable job. If only that would pay the dues for us! The decorations and set up at the Alamo Heights Pool that all came together quite nicely. Thanks to all of my faithful helpers. I could not have done this without everyone helping me!

Laney's arrival to her birthday party. We went ahead and set up and Lesley brought Lanes! She had been talking about her "party party" for weeks and was overwhelmed at first. She loved looking at everything that was set up especially for her. The shirts we had made were done by Brownies N Butterflies and turned out precious!

Bert is our baby whisperer with Landry. He always ends up holding her somehow too! He can always manage to calm her down and get her to sleep!

Truly it was a perfect day for the pool and I felt blessed by everyone that came to celebrate Laney's birthday!

Laney was so excited when her best buddy Elissa arrived! And her precious friends Owen, Selah, Asher!

Then we all headed over to splish splash under the sea with Lanes~ what fun it was playing in the summer sun with our closest friends.

I love this one of Laney jumping in the pool with Serina! She really got brave this summer and would even go off the diving board! A fish!

Then we had the birthday cupcakes. Yum. We always get them from Kate's Frosting and I love her store, creativity, and mini cupcakes! The cupcakes turned out precious and yummy!

Happy 3rd Birthday to You Laney!!!!! She was excited about blowing out her candles and us singing Happy Birthday. She did such a great job blowing out all 3 candles!

 

I am not sure why Matthew and I started kissing after Laney blew out her candles. I think someone said “kiss her” (talking about us both kissing Laney on the cheek) and Matthew started grabbing me. I couldn’t quit laughing and love these pictures of us.

My Balloon and Bubble Girl! Morgan had an idea to take pictures of Laney holding all of these balloons and how creative and adorable! I am definitely going to be blowing some of these up to frame, too clever! And Laney has always loved bubbles! We thought it was fitting to have them at her party. 

 

 

My other precious little one, My Landry. My goodness how she has grown! What a happy little girl she is too! She adores her big sister and the adoration is reciprocated. I adore these children of ours too. What a blessing!!! The huge smile that always plays on Landry's face melts my soul!

As we were leaving the pool, we made it through the 3rd birthday party. What a fun, stressful, sweet, and sunny day it was that I will remember. I think Miss Laney will too.
