South Padre Labor Day

The Crowell Crew headed to South Padre for Labor Day weekend. It was a drive. Not a terrible one since we are used to the road but a trip we had planned to take the family to the beach.

Initially, Landon and Lauren were going to head south with us. Unfortunately, their dog Gunner got super sick and they couldn't go. Luckily, the Sims were able to at the very last minute. We had such a great few days doing nothing but relaxing and playing with friends. Lots of good laughs, memories, 24 Jack Bauer late night sessions, and sleep. So glad they were able to go with us! I'm hoping we go to Padre every summer.

Landry was pretty much ticked the whole time about the beach. She isn't a fan.

 Then their is Laney who loved splashing in the ocean with sand in her toes.

Our view from the balcony. The condo was nice and it wasn't too crowded for a holiday weekend. I was paranoid about the bars and height of the condo.

Laney loves Zayne. She really does adore him.

Landry is really hating this sand thing. I think it ended up she was scared of sharks in the water.

 Then our last night we headed down to the beach to take family pictures and play in the sand.

What a fun weekend. I wish I'd captured it better with our nonstop eating, fruit dip making, running and squats, Lucy getting sick, pajama pants, and sunscreen filled weekend getaway.
