11 Month Adorations

Landry is 11 months and 11 of my (and her favorite) things:
Her love of the bathtub is unparalleled. She splashes around like a wild child and is the cutest little wet head I’ve ever seen! When the water starts running and she hears it she thrashed her arms around to get her clothes off. It is quite the sight and one more thing to adore.
Baby Blue Peepers. I say it all the time. I truly, in my heart of hearts, n.e.v.e.r. believed that a brown eyed girl that married a brown eyed boy would have a blue eyed baby girl. Our God is good though and knows the desires of our hearts. I’m thankful and blessed and she is a beauty. My little Arian Baby.

Her verbiage and the way she talks to us. She just talks, talks, talks, and it’s her own little language. I recall this from Laney too. It’s adorable the way they communicate. She has down bye bye, Momma, Dadda, BaBa, Night Night, and Most of her words sound like Bsszzzsssbbbaaabbaaa whooozzsssiiiaaazzz and ahahahaaaahaaa.
Her love for her big sister. Landry simply adores Laney and visa versa. I suppose I always worried that I wouldn’t get to give the 2nd child as much attention, that those milestone moments wouldn’t be as big of a deal, and that the love wouldn’t be the same. I was wrong on all levels. I never considered that Landry would have something as an infant that Laney didn’t; a sister.
Landry is an eater. She isn't picky and never turns away food. What a healthy little girl! I love it that she isn't  too particular and that she eats healthy foods varying from carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli, and pastas, breads, crackers, chicken, and the list goes on. Anything Momma puts in front of her quickly goes to the mouth!
When she is in her crib she finds a way to get all of her stuffed animals out of a nearby basket. It's too cute to come in and see lamb chops, a little pink bear, and baby doll all keeping her company in the morning.

Sleeper. This girl can snooze! We put her to bed around 8:00 pm (which is early at our house) and she sleeps until 8:00 am, sometimes 9:00 am! We are so pleased she loves to visit the land of nod.

She loves to crawl but she can absolutely walk. She can take four or five steps and then realizes her speed is on her knees. I am so proud of her and tears fill my eyes at the realization she isn't a baby. Still the sweetness ahead and getting to know her little voice and witnessing her personality develop will be wonderful. Laney loves to help her and I think this is how she got interested in starting.

I love her chubby little legs! I just want to gnaw on them and I never want her to lose that baby fat. It is adorable and I love it that we get big babies.
Landry can give bear hugs and won't let go. Then she will kiss on my mouth and bite me and we both laugh as she drools all over my face. She knows how to show affection and gets excited when she does! What a sweet, innocent child she is.

Wipe pulling. Is that a sentence that makes sense? Anyway, she loves to get her package of wipes and yank one, two, three....seventeen, eighteen, etc.....I recall my Laney doing this too. I suppose most of the babies in this world are fascinated with pulling out wipes in their packages. I wonder if they are hoping something else will pull out instead of a wet wipe?

At 11 months, I don't recall what it was like not having Landry! I know that everything multiplied, the love, the chaos, the laundry and dishes, and our family. I realize that having more children only increases the want for me! It's like I see how precious the love is for one and I want to enjoy it all and experience it all over and over again.
Here are some pictures we took to capture this stage....

Here is the story. She was handing me the flower, then she would put it in her mouth. Yes, in her mouth. Shocking I know!
I proceed to tell her no and she starts to hand it to me. Well, she has already realized she doesn't like being told "No".

Clearly, she really doesn't like it.

Back to playing and can I just say that I love her ruffles!

Landry Anne,
I adore you. I have fallen in love with your personality and demeanor. You act a lot like your Daddy and some say you look like me. I don't see it but from the first moment I saw you, it was love. Laney is so proud of you at every milestone you hit and for just being her baby sister. It amazes me the bond that sister's have at such an early age. You amaze me. 11 months we've gotten each other.
