Party at the Park

We had a 1st Birthday paryt for Landry and her buddy, Leni Hargesheimer, the weekend of the 12th at Brackenridge park near our house. Leni was born on the 7th of February and Landry the 17th- so the party was perfectly in the middle of our precious little girls birthday's!

What a sweet afternoon we spent at the park with friends and family. Here are a preview of the pics~we will have lots from the pro Gretchen (Bert's cousin from Boston) that I cannot wait to see!

The decor. I was on a budget this go around for decor and I realized how much easier it is to have a party this week. You would think, as an accountant, I'd be fiscally responsible in my personal life on "extras", etc. Well, I am learning but will hence foreward view birthday parties, cookie parties, Memorial Day, etc. with a tighter eye! Matthew is pleased with this (thanks team LJ!)

Ohhh, break my heart, crying at her own party. She really did not want to be put down. At her own party she was in tears, but she could cry is she wanted to! Isn't this a song???

She then tried Momma's red velvet cookies ( I HATE baking--saving this for another post) and yummmm...she really liked eating that!

My little poser- "Mommy take a picture of me!"  Laney is a hoot and it comes quite natural to her being in front of a camera. Geesh.

It's time to go home and Landry wakes up! All happy and ready to party!!!
