Happy Mother's Day to all of those Momma's that make the world a better place. I still remember from Peter Pan, oh my silly brain, but the question posed: What is a mother?
Yes, Wendy??
Well a mother, a real mother, is the most wonderful person in the world;
She's the angel voice that bids you goodnight
Kisses your cheek, whispers, "Sleep tight."
This doesn't even come close to summing up all the ways to describe my Momma and others I know. I do know this, a mother's love hat is tgiven and received is true, pure, unconditional, and real.
This year we made a circuit for Mother's Day. We always seem to do something, my memory is fuzzy as to what, but it seems like we are on the road. Anyway, I always yearn to be with my Momma on this day. I simply do and I can imagine most of us do. I feel blessed for all of the memories I've had with my very own!
Isn't she lovely, my Momma.
Anyway, we actually had tickets to Willie Nelson on Saturday night. And, of course I debated going, only because when Matthew bought the tickets he told me he was taking me because I had never been to see Willie and he might die soon. I know as a Texan that I need to see Willie Nelson. My favorite song he sings is "Georgia on my Mind" and in my heart this is attributed to my mother's name; Jorja.
Still, my Momma came first. By a long shot. I cried all morning because I wanted to have my cake and eat it too. Once I realized it was one or the other, I was packed and in the car headed north west with in 15 minutes.
Abilene was a quick trip but still a great one! We saw RIO, grilled out, watched some Ranger baseball, and enjoyed ourselves. Laney taught us all how to dance as shown below. And she just received her very own miniature mug (espresso mug) from Anthro! She was happily enjoying her chocolate milk.
We even got to see Dorothy Crowell on Mother's Day. How sweet she is to her grand daughters and us. What a lady.
Then onto the ranch to see B. Precious Virginia. I have the sweetest, kindest mother in law. She loves her girls.
Now, my turn. How lucky to experience the true, pure, real joy that children bring. I am so proud of these two heart beats and as the most wonderful/hardest job in the world; how strongly I feel in my heart that I was meant for this.

Sweet post :) Landry's smile is exactly like yours in the baby picture with your mom and you look beautiful in that dress!
Laney with that mug makes me smile I always remember you mom always had a mug. She drove us 1000's of miles in that suburban and she always had a mug. Good memories....
