Colorado Summer 2012

This year we took the extended Crowell Crew to Colorado. My Aunt Susan's home in Frisco is where we  stay and have made many wonderful memories over the years. We are blessed to have the Morgan's share it with us and the ability to share it with others. It is such a happy place. And a nice escape from the Texas heat. After my summer accounting class--that is to blame for much of my blog world disappearance, I really looked forward to a getaway in the mountains.

The trip through the airport was doable. There were a lot of people and stuff to keep up with but we managed.

Landry was breaking all kinds of rules on the airplane.

The Blake's drove in from Colorado Springs to see us too. Bailey is adorable and the girls love playing together. She looks just like the princess in Tangled. I'm so thankful for our childhood friends Cricket and Nick and the history we all have together. And I'm most excited that they will be back in Texas!!!!!

Sweet friend.

We went to the nearby park in Frisco and the girls played on the playground. Such pretty scenery.

We tried to take several Crowell family pictures. This is the ONLY one where we were all looking at the camera!

We went into Breck to have ice cream and hang out around town. On the way we stopped to feed chipmunks. Lake Dillon was super low this year with the lack of snow and rain.

M and I have taken a picture in this spot every time we go.

Sunday morning I took the girls to the nearby park again and the Crowell's went to Vail. There was a small church service on the lawn and we stayed for a bit. It was pretty cool to enjoy a sermon surrounded by God’s beautiful landscaping in the Rockies

We had a lazy afternoon. M and I rode bikes and enjoyed a little happy hour together in Frisco. We went back to Breckenridge to Eric's for dinner and fed the chipmunks on the way.

Laney loved feeding the chipmunks and kept talking about how it felt so good when they tickled her hand with their paws. Precious moments. Both of the girls were able to feed chipmunks. It was too cute watching them get excited and squeal accidentally frightening them away.

Laney loves to climb *ahem* just like Daddy. Little Queen of the World.

Overall a relaxing trip and I can't wait for another visit to Colorado.
