Laney has been in school since she was six weeks old. It has always been a wonderful thing for her and she's social and makes friends with ease. Still, KINDERGARTEN! My heart beat, almost six year old, and our oldest daughter starting school. It was certainly harder on me and M than it was on her.
Fine. If I'm handing her over to the public school system I was at least going to make it memorable and fun! That's at least how I feel. Laney jumped out of bed to go to school!
Good Morning Laney Kate!
I made her "bird in a nest" for breakfast with OJ.
And had her a little "surprise" to wake up to!
She was so happy and excited once we got to her elementary school. M told me I could not cry until we left. So, I held it back until then.
I took her to her room and then we walked down to do the pledge of allegiance for the announcements. The loud speaker was broken, bummer. I was excited she was picked from her class. Then I watched her walk down the hall back to her classroom.
My little Laney will do great in all she does. She's fun loving, friendly, kind, possesses a servant's heart, and is eager to learn. I'm so proud of the young lady we are raising and look forward to watching her future unfold in kindergarten and beyond.
Oh Landry. How I love you too. Your day will come little one, right now I'm keeping you with me!
