Basketball with the Mules

This spring we decided to try something different; basketball. Laney actually really loved it. Unfortunately I had a tax class on the first few Saturdays in January and February and missed a few games. But I took her to every practice!

I drove from class one day to watch ten minutes of Laney's game. I loved seeing her play. 

Great season girls!

Two things. The team came a long way from the first practice. It didn't even look like the same group of girls. Luckily I was at the game that Laney scored her first basket. It was incredible. I was so proud and it was in slow motion for me. Her face was full of joy and she just jumped up and down. Sweet Laney. Second thing, actually the third, Laney told me she might like basketball more than soccer. Tear. But it's her life, not mine. I had my day in the sun and it is her turn! I can't wait to see what sports she plays, what she loves, and her dreams come true. I do know this, she is quite a fearless little athlete and I love that! Looking forward to more basketball with this group!
