I'm back after the M.I.A. madness......

Hello all! Time has flown by these past couple of months! I feel as though I've barely had time to breathe. Happy New Year to everyone! I can't believe it is 2007 and still....

Here are some pics from over the break of all of us and then the "Jim Ned Nuf Said" group. I don't know why they didn't have me take the picture....I think it's a cult :). Just teasing! Sort of....

Lesley and Landon came into town before we all headed to Abilene. They helped put up lights outside. Well, Landon did actually. Lesley and I stayed inside to make puppy chow and catch up. I love my precious siblings and wouldn't be who I was without them. Lesley is trying to figure out where she will be in P.A. school and Landon is still in school at A&M figuring out what he wants to do. If I could do it all again; well there isn't much I would do different. Still, I envy their youth.

As for the marathon, it is February 18th and right around the corner. I ran 20 miles for the Austin Radiological Association this past weekend in San Marcos in 2:45:44. I hardly doubt I will be able to keep that pace the entire 26.2 but we shall see. I feel blessed to have been given legs and the ability to run. I truly thought I might die on mile 19. The half a marathon was hard but there is a shocking difference to the body the further and further you run that you can't imagine. I now know what "hitting the wall" means. And I have never eaten as much as I did last Sunday. I had Whataburger, two servings of chicken spaghetti, steak, and a potato. Dang. I looked and felt like death. I don't know what I have gotten myself into.

And lastly I started my new job with Whole Foods! They just moved up to #5 on Fortune 100's list on Best Companies to work for. Now I understand why. I enjoy my responsibilities and the new challenges the position has presented. The corporate culture is truly Austin. My life feels a bit surreal at the moment. I have the dream job I've always thought about, married to my best friend, and fastly approaching a few goals that have been on the horizon for some time. God is too good and I am blessed.

Happy New Years 2007 Kristen and Johnny! K and I have spent the last six New Year's together all over Texas! Actually, our second time in Austin. And it is probably considered a tradition since we are Aggies.

Hope to see everyone soon! Lots of love.....
