Picking the Perfect Pumpkin

Saturday evening we took Laney to pick out her first pumpkin at Georgetown's First United Methodist Church. Picking out a pumpkin....the perfect pumpkin was hard to do. I have this "weird" theory (not just concerning pumpkins but any inanimate object). Basically, if you pick the object up (ex. stuffed animal, canned food, pair of socks, anything including pumpkins) to just then set it back down to just pick the next over the first one...well you would hurt "it's" feelings. I know that I'm crazy and too sensitive in everything. But I've had this theory since I was young and at 27 I still feel the same way. Poor Laney. But I think we did a pretty good job "eyeing the patch" ...............and picking the little one out for her.
She was so well behaved for these pictures...shocking with her recent past! There are so many cute ones though that I have to post a bunch! The precious outfit that Pammy Sue and Jenny got her for Halloween! My little witch is a great stretcher! Trying to sit her by a pumpkin but she wasn't too sure what to think of the cold grass! But she always seems to find her fingers for comfort!

Our family, it still feels crazy having a family of three! What a joyful responsibility!

I adore this face and it looks like she is scared, so naturally I thought this was perfect for Halloween!

And she got to meet Aunt Kristen!
We picked her pumpkin! I love the long glances when she looks up at me and her eyelashes! They are long like Matthew's!
And we went on our first picnic Sunday afternoon at the park! Oh my, can I just say how hard I was laughing. Not at you Laney, I just think you looked too cool in these shades! And your lavender dress!

We thought we'd all take a picture with our sunglasses on to remember the outing!
