Swim Like a Fish

We started swim lessons with Laney this week. It has been a lot of fun watching her (even in the miserable Texas heat). Although,  my heart aches when she is out there learning to be a big brave girl with someone besides me! She never cried or had the common kids meltdown before her first lesson. She just put her head down and did as she was told, same as Little Gym. Now, she loves Ms. Carol and it getting the hang of the water. Almost. We still have our moments of thinking we can swim and plummeting under with gravity. Still, Laney always comes up with a smile.

I remember learning to swim in our pool at home in Abilene, TX. All of us Berg kids do! The theme song sung by Jorja was "Deep in the Heart of Texas." She would always take us night swimming. And the macaroni and cheese craving is still present today after a good swim. Good Memories.
