Mother Nature

Yesterday started off quite chaotic. This week has been rough with close week at work, M gone, and fitting in all my training runs with a baby. Anyway, the night before last Austin had fierce winds, storms, and hail. Our electricity went out several times. Laney and I found matches and a flashlight before the brunt of it. I kept trying to check the weather on line but our wireless went out too. Big shocker at that point. I was frightened but we managed to get to sleep. The next morning this is what Laney's day care looked like, along with scattered parts of Downtown Austin. The tree went through a window in the baby's nursery and the electricity was shot. I grabbed my stash of milk for the freezer and headed home. I am more than thankful this storm didn't hit during the day while Laney was at daycare; although I would have sprinted from Whole Foods
to her.

Today my Momma is watching Laney, thank goodness.

We matched on our day at home! Laney and I both had on our pineapple shirts. I can't wait to do that with her; be mother daughter Twinkies.
She slept in my lap a lot while I worked. She always sleeps more at home with me vs. day care.

We had a good day. Thank you Mother Nature. I needed some girl time.

I'll be praying for you! I hate storms!! We just moved into an apartment and I'm all freaked out about living on the second floor! :) (I'm a wimp, right?!)
I need to meet you, girl! When can we do this?!! I'm dying to know a marathon runner! ;)
