Happy Heart Day

I know I am a bad blogger. I give weekend updates only it seems. I promise my life isn't as interesting as everyone else's right now. We are bar focused. I will try harder though, swears!
My Valentine..........

And how I heart Valentine's Day! I know it is a retailers holiday but I don't care! Walking downstairs at Whole Foods and smelling all the flowers, seeing the balloons and LOVE everywhere. And the best part is Ms. Lanes! We get to do Valentine cards for all of her friends. And we went on a six mile Valentine's Day run. It was fabulous despite my flat tire on my BOB!

Our morning was quick because we had a family wedding in College Station. But we made breakfast and exchanged our gifts! Matthew is in serious study mode this week. I'm not allowed home before 7 pm. Seriously. Words don't display appropriately my desire for him to finish! One week from today he begins the bar~ we are in lock down mode until then.

Out time in College Station.....

Laney got to see her first kangaroo! I know, kangaroo in Texas not at the zoo! I can't recall the name of the place in College Station but it was quaint and lovely. And she had so much fun sitting with Lesley at the reception. She had so much sugar with the chocolate fountain! I think she saw that thing with every single family member.

What a sweet wedding it was for my cousin Jennifer and her husband Jose. They had been dating for seven years and made it to the altar! Very few couples do that these days and it was precious to hear friends from middle school talk about them dating.

And Laney took a cat nap at the reception. The full day had her worn out! Maybe the sugar rush and then crashing!

The dance floor. The Berg clan tore it up! At least Landon did!

A sweet memory for me at the wedding, that I can't wait to get pictures for, was when the song "The Way You Look Tonight" came on. This is the song I danced to with my Dad at my wedding. And we danced again. It brings tears to my eyes remembering these sweet moments. We were able to celebrate his birthday on Sunday as a family! It is rare he has all three of his children together and it was another lucky memory.

All for now, more pictures from birthday to come soon!

I know it must be hard for you guys right now. It will be such a relief to have it done with. Britt being in school right now is a pain too... can't imagine studying for the Bar!
Seems like your V-day was great anyway! Kids make life so fun!
