Sugar, Spice, & Everything Nice!

Laney was so sweet to her Momma last night. We were going to sleep and as usual Laney was not tired. I was putting her down and pretending like I was going to go to sleep; an effort that usually works well for us. Instead of lying down and following my lead Laney proceeds to sit up in bed. She starts patting on my back. Then she began to hum and sing in her little Laney voice. She would lean in real close to see if my eyes were closed and then kiss me. This went on for a couple of minutes that I didn’t want it to ever end! It was a perfect moment that words won’t do justice. It was one of the slots of time that we get with our child and you feel overwhelmingly blessed to be a parent. My heart tugs because I know I will always remember the moment.
