The shower was unique and special. We all “Cross Stitched” fairies that Courtney had traced to have made into a quilt.
Also, please note before I go any further the candles in the picture below. And the wreath holding the thread. These play a part in my cross stitching experience later.
I made a baby wreath for Suz. I hadn't done one in a while and I forget how cute they are.
Suzanne busy stitching for her baby girl.
All of the ladies were busy stitching away! I was in hurry because I was fearful I would not finish in time. This was truly my first time to ever cross stitch. Keep this in mind, please.
Alright. I was going to pick out more thread for my fairies feet! Orange thread to be precise. Somehow the wreath rolled as I was pulling out the orange thread. I gasped and exclaimed "my fairy almost caught on fire" and then a moment later my hand felt warm. I realized it did catch on fire and squealed "oh, it did!" I was so concerned over the little fairy burning up. All of my effort and work for not but we quickly put it out. Sheesh. Leave it to me.
Here are the adorable cross stitched fairies.
Suzanne's; although we were all curious to why she did not sign Mom, Momma, Mommy?
Mine! Which I think turned out looking like my Laney.
Jessica Montoya's. She put us all to shame with her precious fairy.
Katie's
Morgan's
Miss Julia's...
Courtney's- this is one of the three/four she made.
Amber's
TA-DA! I can't wait to see the finished quilt, it is going to be so sweet!
