Brilliant Good Bye

Our last morning in Bar Harbor we got up to see the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. This is the highest point along the North Atlantic seaboard and is the first place to view sunrise in the United States. I think it rose around 5:15 and we got up at 4:45, wow was I sleepy. But it was absolutely worth it and I was so pleased we actually got up!

The sunrise along the water was brilliant and truly another glimpse of God's creation. The first few pictures were waiting for the sun to make it's full appearance....

The first peek of the sun! I felt like I blinked and then there it was, the first showing of the magnificent light!

How quickly it truly rose.

I love this picture of Matthew's shadow with the display of colors from the light.

The end of a wonderful trip and the beginning of a new day.

We enjoyed our last breakfast at Ullikana and headed back to Texas. I hope to go back to Bar Harbor one day; i't simply just one of those places you leave a little bit of your heart.
