Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
Thanksgiving day in Dallas we always do the Turkey Trot. In years past we've done the 8 mile. This year we did the 5k. A better option for me for sure but also my oldest was able to do it with us! So much fun running a race with my Laney Kate. Can't wait for it to be the whole pack of us!
Andy, Lesley, Laney, Ritz, and I all ran. Matthew watched Landry and Leyton. One day it will be all of us! Oh and Lel's friend Skinny Jenny met up with us. She's one of Lel's crossfit friends that is adorable!
Laney was pretty excited.
The best part of the morning was when Laney said "Mommy, I don't know if I can win" as she saw all of the people. It was too cute. I explained that just running she is winning!
Laney and her Uncle Andy. He's so good to my girls. Blessed to have him as an in law.
The Harcar's!
There she goes. Laney would just take off and weave in and out of people. Then walk for like 30 seconds then sprint off again. It was hilarious. Lesley, Jenny, and I were around her like a triangle. I felt like it was more of a sprint work out than an actual race.
The way home. It was great to have finished our first race together. I look forward to many, many more.
We finished! Now onto Thanksgiving Lunch!
